Timber Lantern
A glowing box in the garden
Melbourne, Australia — 2023 — 360 m²
(01) The brief
A compact family home: a timber-clad upper box floating over a fully glazed garden level.
The upper box contains the private rooms; the glazed ground floor dissolves into the garden.
Recycled spotted-gum cladding will silver gracefully over the next decade.
